Compound monocular microscope made by Ross of London (about 1870) for T.Gaunt and Co., Melbourne. Rack and pinion coarse focus - screw fine adjustment. Revolving quadruple nosepiece. Complex mechanical stage and substage condenser inscribed Ross (2010) London. Eyepiece B, mirror illuminator, one objective lens '1 ½ IN.'.
