Description
Plaster model of brain section, larger than life size, mounted on a black wooden board. The model was produced by Jules Talriche, a Parisian anatomical model maker active in the second half of the 19th century. An original cardboard label describes the model (in French) as, 'Inferior surface of the encephalon, a segment of the anterior and posterior lobes has been removed to show the cerebral extension of the protuberance, the origin of the optic nerve, the lower portion of the corpus striatum, etc.'
