Description
Oversized hemi (half) head showing the course of cranial nerves. Mounted on a circular wooden base base. A product of Maison Tramond, of Paris, makers of some of the most exquisite and accurate anatomical models of the late 19th and early 20th century. Wax was a favoured material in nineteenth century practices of anatomical model making, both for its malleability and resemblance to human flesh.
