Liebereich ophthalmoscope, simple type with hinged magnifying glass. Packed in black case with purple cloth lining. Made by Maw & Sons in London, United Kingdom.

History of Object

Included in contents of Dr. James Jamieson's medical bag (accession number MHM00074), who practised in Warrnambool and Melbourne, later lecturing in Obstetrics at Melbourne University. Jamieson became President of the Medical Society of Victoria in 1886. He died in 1916.
