Sectioned heart of a male domestic cow (Bos taurus). From the original record: "History: incidental finding. Macroscopic: Projecting into the muscle and the pericardial cavity measuring 13 x 9 x 10cm. The wall is partly calcified and has a yellowish lining with some membrane present. Microscopic: Shows that the cyst is lined by fibrous tissue containing inflammatory cells and masses of calcium. The heart muscle does not show any lesion. Final diagnosis: degenerating hydatid of bullock's heart."
