Description
Potted specimen of a curl snake (Suta suta). The specimen is preserved in fluid and contained in a cylindrical glass jar. This specimen is inscribed with the superceded genus name, 'Denisonia'. Curl snakes are venemous and feed on small vertebrate prey. This specimen would have been collected as part of medical studies into snake venom and its treatment.
