Description
Potted specimen of a tiger snake (Notechis scutatus). The specimen is preserved in fluid and contained in a cylindrical glass jar. Tiger snakes are highly venemous snakes endemic to Australia. This specimen would have been collected as part of medical studies into snake venom and its treatment.
