Plaster cast of the skull of Mesopithecus pentilici, an extinct genus of Old World monkey that lived in Europe and Asia 7 to 5 million years ago. This cast would have been used in anatomy classes in the 20th century to teach students about the anatomical and osteological evidence for the evolution of humans.
