Black and white photograph of John Fethers, one of three foundation surgeons of PANCH, appointed in 1960. Fethers had gone through clinical school at the Alfred Hospital, had spent time in England with Mr York Mason (a well-known figure in British surgery at that time), and was the Assistant Surgeon at the Alfred Hospital before he was appointed his position at PANCH.
