Michael Southwick's hospital ship where he was involved with quelling a mutiny off the shores of Gallipoli was either HMAS Moreton Bay or HMS Moreton Bay. It is a particularly special gift to the Medical History Museum because it comes directly from M. Sorokiewich's family. It is interesting that Sorokiewich changed his name to Michael Southwick based on a street name he saw in London. The photograph gives us a great insight into the lives of one of University of Melbourne's alumni.
