Description
"Luga (pronounced 'looka') is the name we call the dried mud flats on Sturt River. In the wet seasons and after a big tide, the white waters of the river would rise up on the mud flats. Then when it dried out it would turn to crystal, like salt. Old people used to eat that salt and they used to eat the mud too; it is a bush medicine, used for gut ache (diarrhea)."
