Description
This electroscope was used to measure electrical charge. A lightweight mirror is attached to an electrode which is suspended on a quartz fibre. The mirror rotates when a charge is deposited on the electrode. This produces a beam of light which is proportional to the deposited charge. When the electroscope was charged with electricity it was connected to an ionisation chamber. This model was used for teaching purposes. No 7142 Electronic industries imports.
