Description
Siemens 300 KV X-ray tube. This was almost the maximum voltage you could generate from an X-ray tube for radiation therapy. This tube was used to treat patients with a high energy dose of radiation. These X-ray tubes were really important for the early treatment of radiation therapy. As technology evolved these became superseded by linear accelerators. This is one of the largest that you could you use to treat patients. Bigger than this the shape of the tube would need to be melded to curve/fit around the patient.
