Description
Measuring ruler. Before flexi-disks and imaging technology evolved, practitioners needed to use rulers to measure the size of the patient. The rules were used in combination with the slide ruler. In the early 1980s CT scanners began to evolve and the images produced became useful to gauge the size of the patient and treatment area, which meant the measuring rulers were no longer needed. The early pictures were 2D slices and in order to create a 3D image 3 transfer slices were taken and loaded on each Flexi-Disk. It would take 3 minutes to load each flexi-disk which had 3 images on it. There was separation between the antier point and the other point.
