Certificate issued to Miss S Guest by the Lying-in Hospital in appreciation of fundraising for the Hospital. The certificate has blue, red and gold text on a glossy white paper. The text is very faint and barely legible. "The Bazaar Melbourne Lying-in Hospital And Infirmary for Diseases Peculiar to Women and Children Melbourne March 31 1860 To Miss S. Guest The Committee of Management of the above Bazaar respectfully beg to tender their united and sincere acknowledgements for the valuable assistance rendered by you in promoting the above undertaking, and on behalf of the Ladies' and Gentlemen's Committees of the Lying-in Hospital would hereby render their thanks for the … made by yourself and friends in connexion (sic) with Stall No 33 thus assisting greatly in augmenting the funds of the Charity to which your kind efforts have been devoted, by the sum of L3,313-8-3 being raised at the bazaar in aid of this valuable Institution.
