Description
Steel & timber construction wheelchair with brown leatherette upholstered seat and back. Flip-down, hinged timber footrest. Steel handle for pushing at back and steel rimmed wheels for self-operation. ‘Hemco’ seatbelt appears to have been added to the chair many years after the original chair was made.
J.B. O.P. stencilled on back of chair in white. Metal plaque on the back states maker details: P. Fallshaw, North Melbourne 87-89 Flemington Rd. FJ 3517
Originally from the John Butler Outpatients Department. One of two similar wheelchairs (A1990_18_165 is not upholstered).
