Original painting, oil on linen. Small plaque attached to the frame reads "Presented to Mr Ian Johnston / Head of the Reproductive Biology Unit / On the occasion of his retirement / from the Royal Women's Hospital 16 February 1995 / By the Directors Melbourne IVF". It was subsequently given to the RWH by Mr Johnston. Artist's signature on right hand edge of painting - 'Irene Clarke'
