Set of lantern slides

Description
A set of 31 lantern sllides, numbered but with several missing. They appear to have accompanied a lecture, possibly about Dr Douglas Sephens (his portrait appears more than any other).

Slides missing are no's 11, 26, 30 and 32. They are in a re-used wooden box which once (1914) contained a set of slides on the Seige of Port Arthur. The box has a paper label with black text and reads: "Catalogue No H/81 Part / Subject - Siege of Port Arthur / No of slides 50 / Date July 1914 / Not to be taken from this box except for examination or exhibition"
