The certificate reads: "Melbourne 29.5.45 / This is to Certify that / Alison Eleanor Brown Graham / has been trained at these Hospitals for three years in Medical, Surgical / and Gynaecological Nursing and has attended the prescribed course of lectures, has passed the prescribed examinations and is qualified to be registered as a trained General Nurse."



The certificate is signed by the Hospital President, Chairman Honorary Medical Staff, Matron, Manager & Secretary of both hospitals. Not signed by Alison Eleanor Brown Graham



The certificate is on cream paper and mounted and presented in a brown leather folder with gold embossed borders. The text is printed in black ink and signatures are in black and blue ink. The title is embossed on gold on the front of the folder: "NURSE’S CERTIFICATE". 23.5 x 16.3cm (closed), 32.5 x 23.5cm (open).
