Description
A thin flat spatula for applying Antiphlogistine, with the following details moulded into the handle: "ANTIPHLOGISTINE / WARM AND THICK". Antiphlogistine ia a medicated poultice dressing that was popular during the early 20th century. It contained glycerine, boric acid, salicylic acid, methyl salicylate, oil of peppermint, oil of eucalyptus and kaolin. A remedy for muscle and joint pain. Similar to item A2003_99_390.
