Cylindrical yellow cardboard canister containing a glass tube with an aluminium screw-top lid of 50 x 12 inch "Merson's Silkworm Gut" sutures. The canister has two cream coloured labels with product, manufacturer’s and agent’s details in brown and red print. Made by G .F. Merson, Edinburgh, Scotland.
