Description
Fourteen 'Lippes Loops' in original hinged plastic box with manufacturer’s paper label on base; white print on khaki ground. Manufactured by Ortho Pharmaceutical Corp New Jersey and distributed in Australia by Ethnor, Size D. Plastic IUD's were introduced in Australia circa 1970's. First were gynae-coils (tended to un-coil & fall out). The second were Lippes Loops. Different sizes, A,B,C to fit comfortably at the fundus of the uterus between fallopian tubes with no lateral pressure.
