Wicker covered demijohn

Date
Early 20th Century
Description
This is a large and heavy pottery jar encased in a protective woven wicker "jacket". It still contains (quantity unknown) 1% iodine solution. Advice from Margaret Schwantzer (Director of Pharmacy) that this is quite safe. The cork in the neck of the demijohn may be leaking very slightly from one edge, but otherwise it is quite secure. The wicker is heavily soiled.
