Printed certificate. The certificate reads: "Women’s Hospital Infirmary for Diseases Peculiar to Women / Melbourne. / This is to certify that Irene Kirwin / has received Instruction in the / Special Work of the Gynaecological Department / of this Hospital for a period of six months and, after / due examination, was found to be competent to discharge the duties of an Gynaecological Nurse."

It is signed by the Hospital President, Honorary Secretary, Lady Supt., Examiners and House Surgeons. Names and signatures are in black and blue ink. Date c.1915. Printed by the Modern Printing Co Melbourne

The certificate has printed black text on cream coloured paper, it includes an image of the Women’s Hospital 1856 building, a third floor was added to the building in 1924.
