Printed certificate. The certificate reads: "Women’s Hospital / And / Infirmary for Diseases Peculiar to Women / Melbourne. / This is to certify that / has received Instruction in the Special work of the Gynaecological / and Midwifery Department of this Hospital for a period of / months, and, after / due examination, was found to be competent to discharge the / duties of a Gynaecological and Midwifery Nurse."

There is space for it to be signed by the Hospital President, Honorary Secretary, Lady Supt., Examiners and House Surgeons and the nurse. Printed by Norman Bros Printers, Melbourne

The certificate has printed black text on cream coloured paper, it includes an image of the Genevieve Wing (1888 to1956) on the upper left side, and an image of the Druids Wing (1912), upper right side.
