Description
Printed certificate. The certificate reads: "Women’s Hospital / Infirmary for Diseases Peculiar to Women / Melbourne. / This is to certify that / Getrude Frankhause / has received Instruction in the / Special Work of the Gynaecological / Department of this Hospital for a period of four months and, after / due examination, was found to be competent to discharge the duties of a / Gynaecological Nurse."
It is signed by the Hospital President, Honorary Secretary, Examiners and House Surgeons. Names and signatures are in black and blue ink. Date April 3rd 1912. Printed by the Modern Printing Co Melbourne.
The certificate has printed black text on cream coloured paper, it includes an image of the Genevieve Wing (1888 to1956) on the upper left side, and an image of the Women’s Hospital 1856 building, upper right side; a third floor was added to this building in 1924.
