Printed certificate. The certificate reads: "Women’s Hospital / And / Infirmary for Diseases Peculiar to Women / Melbourne. / This is to certify that / Marjory Henderson / has received Instruction in the Special Work of the Gynaecological / Department of this Hospital for a period of six months, and, after / due examination, was found to be competent to discharge the / duties of a Gynaecological Nurse."

There is space for it to be signed by the Hospital President, Honorary Secretary, Lady Supt., Examiners and House Surgeons and the nurse. Printed by Modern Printing Co. Pty Ltd., Melbourne.

The certificate has printed black text on cream coloured paper, it includes a large image of the Women's Hospital 1856 building; a third floor was added to this in 1924.
