Gräfenberg's rings in paper packet

Description
Seven Gräfenberg's rings, an early intra-uterine device, in a cream coloured paper packet, size 25 mm. Packet is torn open at one end. Printed text on the packet reads "SILVER CIRCLE / ORIGINAL GRAFENBERG RINGS / TRADE MARK / MADE BY / L. de VAHL DAVIS". The ring was introduced by German gynaecologist Ernst Gräfenberg in 1929, but ceased to be in wide use around 1939.
