Dash 3000 Portable Anaesthetics Monitor

Date
1999
Description
One of two portable anaesthetics monitors bought by the hospital in either 1999 or 2000. The monitor is now attached to a mobile stand but originally it was simply carried by the integral handle. This was the first of its kind acquired by the hospital and could be taken to Labour Wards, or other emergency situations where more complex anaesthetic equipment was not available. This would not have been used in theatres.

This device is probably in full working condition, but was not required after the move to Parkville in 2008 as the fittings were not compatible with the system installed there. These devices are still in use in other hospitals.
