A text book for workers in the field of materal and child health. "The Guide to Infant Feeding" was first complied in 1929 by The Director of Infant Welfare, Dr Vera Scantlebury, who sought to correlate the various types of feeding used for infants and to produce a nonclementure by which was easy recognition and reference could be made. The book was reprinted with additions in 1933. It was later revised by Dr Vera Scantlebury Brown and Dr Kate Campbell and its scope widened and its title changed to "The Guide to The Care of the Young Child" . This edition published in 1947, was not complleted until after the death of Dr Scantlebury Brown in 1946. Further revisions of the book were carried out by Dr Kate Campbell and published in 1951,1958 and 1963. For the 6th and subsequent editions D.A. Elizabeth Wilmot has been part author and co-editor.
