Box of probe points also known as 'sickle probes' or 'dental explorers'
Description
Dozens of probe points in cardboard box. Box appears to have been repurposed to hold these probes with hand written label 'Probe/ Points / J.Miller" adhered to boxes lid. Probes are encased in two inner folded wrappings: one within folded wax paper; and one group within a thicker cardboard like paper. The probes appear to be the detachable ends of the dental instruments. 'Sickle probes' or 'dental explorers' are used in dental examination. The sharp point is used to enhance tactle sensation where the tooth and gums meet and to determine the presence of tooh decay on tooth enamel.
