Description
A 17 page booklet for the 1947 D.S.S. Dental Follies performances at St Kilda Town Hall on Monday, 5th May 1947. The front cover features a cartoon illustration of four men in tuxedos singing. The booklet contains a program for 8 acts and multiple advertisements relating to Dentistry equipment, consulting and procurement.

Foreword: "The Dental Students' Society takes pride and pleasure in presenting the twenty-eighth performance of the Dental Follies. The Dental Follies had rather an interesting inception - in 1914 the members of the D.S.S., then numbering about a dozen members, visited the Tivoli Follies, where one member, somewhat inebriated, fell from hte box on to the stage and proceeded to give an original item, with such success that the students decided to produce a show of their own. The next year, the first Dental Follies were presented in the Melba Hall and lasted about a quarter of an hour. We sincerely hope that the 1947 Dental Follies meet with your approval."
