John Gosnell & Co (estab. Circa 1840, closed Circa 1898)
Circa 1840-1870
Circular tooth paste lid. Prepared by John Gosnell & Co Ltd, the lid advertises: "Cherry Tooth Paste - Patronized By The Queen - For Beautifying And Preserving The Teeth & Gums". A noticably smaller pot than most, these pots did come in various sizes from small sample size of less than an inch in diameter to 10 inches for economy size. This version is just 1.5 inches in diameter.
