Four photographs of Rupert Allan Willis (left) and a colleague on a contact sheet. Willis was born in Victoria and graduated in medicine at the University of Melbourne in 1922. He was in general practice in norht east Tasmania for several years until he became medical superindendant at the Austin Hospital in Melbourne in 1927. He was pathologist at the alfred Hospital in Melbourne from 1930-45 and Professor of Pathology the Royal College of Surgeons, London from 1945-48; Royal Cancer Hospital London, 1948-50; University of Leeds. 1950-53 and Professor of Experimental Medicine in Glasgow, 1963-64. He was Consultant Pathologist to the Imperial Cancer Research Fund in London from 1959.
