Rectangular amber glass bottle, cork stopper with white paper seal with black text "Vapo Cresolene". 'Poison not to be taken internally . The use of vaporized antiseptics for inflammatory conditions of air passages, disinfectant". Bottle unopened.
Orange rectangular cardboard box with black text "1 1/4 teaspoons of Cresolene to a pint of water makes a reliable liquid germicide and antiseptic wash and douche. Contains 2 ozs of Cresolene. To be used with the cresolene Vaporizer". Pamphlet inside box.
Vapo-Cresolene oil used with lamp MHM2012.223, the lamp came into being in 1879, invented by James H Valentine.
