Blue cardboard box from H. Francis & Co Pharmacutical Chemists of Collins Street, Melbourne.
Box contains; one glass ampoule of Ethocaine 2%/Adrenaline 2% by Newcaine B.M.Co, an ampoule of Pituitary extract (Posterior Lobe) double strength with 0.45% Chloretone added by Commonwealth Serum Laboratories, and a glass tube of Bennell's Newcaine Sine Caine dental tablets (without cocaine) containing Ethocaine, Adrenaline, Chloride and Saline base by Bennell Manufacturing Co.
Ethocaine 2%/Adrenaline 2% is an injectable anesthetic administered near nerves as a local anesthetic in dentistry and medicine.
Pituitary Extract, bovine (PEX) is an extract of bovine pituitary tissue containing growth factors used in medicine for the therapeutic effects of its hormones.
Chloretone is Chlorobutanol, or chlorbuto elicits sedative-hypnotic and weak local anesthetic actions in addition to antibacterial and antifungal properties.
