Description
O'Dwyer's laryngeal intubation instruments consisting of an introducer, extractor, three brass tubes, two metal rods hinged in the middle, some twine and a case.

Joseph P. O'Dwyer introduced the O'Dwyer tube for laryngeal intubation in patients with an obstructed larynx in 1885. It soon replaced tracheostomy as an emergency diphtheric intubation method.
