Description
Brass vaccinator consisting of cylindrical tube with flat enclosed ends on both sides. One side has nine spikes in a square configuration. The central spike is flat and larger to protect the other spikes from the brass lid.

Originally donated to the Medical Society of Victoria (which later became part of the Victorian Branch of the Australian Medical Association). The A.M.A. loaned its museum collection of documents and artefacts to the University of Melbourne in 1994 and gifted in 2011.
