Dr. Saul Wiener name plate

Circa 1953
A metal name plate, belonging to Dr Saul Wiener. This plate would have been attached to an office door or wall (the holes on either end of the plate would be used to drill the plate to the wall). It is engraved with "DR SAUL WIENER".

Dr Wiener held various eminent positions during his lifetime, including as a research officer at the Commonwealth Serum Laboratories where he led the discovery of anti-venom for the Redback Spider. Wiener also worked for the Royal Melbourne Hospital, the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, and the Queen Victoria Medical Centre.
