Description
Ring bound waxed paper covered document. Submission by Australian Dental Association Victorian Branch Inc. March 2002. ADAVB response to the draft Auxiliaries Code. The document makes suggestions for change while supporting the broad direction of the draft code and the descriptions of duties described within it.

To implement The Dental Practice Act 1999 (The Act), the Dental Practice Board of Victoria (DPBV) was formed in July, 2000 with 11 members comprising five dentists, two dental prosthetists, two lay members, one lawyer, and most notably, one dental auxiliary.
As the DPBV’s role was to set the standards for the regulation and provision of dental care within the intent of The Act, one of its primary functions was to establish various Codes of Practice and Guidelines for the practice of dentistry in Victoria.
Specific committees were required to provide expert advice to the DPBV. (In 2010 Dental Practice Board of Victoria was Abolished).
