Correspondence to Eve Weiss from The Australian College of Dentistry, University of Melbourne congratulating Eve on receiving the John Iliffe Scholarship in her Third year, 1946.

Eve Susan Weiss (1926-2016) was born in Vienna in 1926. Along with her family, she was forced to flee the Nazi occupation of Austria in 1939, arriving in Australia as a 13-year-old refugee with little English. Despite these hardships, she studied hard, excelled at school and went on to study the Bachelor of Dental Science at The Australian College of Dentistry, University of Melbourne, graduating in 1948. She received the John Iliffe prize, awarded annually to the top student, at the end of her fourth year.
