Hand written notes, stapled together with newspaper clippings, exam papers and documentation by Eve Weiss in her first year of Bachelor of Dental Science, The Australian College of Dentistry, University of Melbourne, 1944. Eve has written comments on her performance post exam on the exam papers, and recorded other students examination results. Included is a ticket with her examination number 3868 and examination timetable.

Eve Susan Weiss (1926-2016) was born in Vienna in 1926. Along with her family, she was forced to flee the Nazi occupation of Austria in 1939, arriving in Australia as a 13-year-old refugee with little English. Despite these hardships, she studied hard, excelled at school and went on to study the Bachelor of Dental Science at The Australian College of Dentistry, University of Melbourne, graduating in 1948. She received the John Iliffe prize, awarded annually to the top student, at the end of her fourth year.
