Syringe of 'Cilicaine'

Description
Hypodermic syringe with plastic frame, plunger and needle cover, rubber washer, metal needle, maroon on white label. The intravenous drug "Cilicaine" listed on the label was not preserved with the syringe.

Originally donated to the Medical Society of Victoria (which later became part of the Victorian Branch of the Australian Medical Association). The A.M.A. loaned its museum collection of documents and artefacts to the University of Melbourne in 1994 and gifted in 2011.
