Description
Gold-plated medal, Edward Henry Embley Memorial Medal, awarded to Maurice Malcolm McKeown, as top 5 to 6 year examination in Anaesthesia at the University of Melbourne, 1940. Round medal has inscription on one side and Embley's face on reverse side. Medal held in black leatherette case with blue velvet and white silk satin lining.

History of Object

This medal was awarded to Dr. Maurice Malcolm McKeown in 1940. His son, Dr. Malcolm McKeown donated the medal to the University of Melbourne Medical History Museum in 26 June 1996.
