This item was originally donated to the Australian Medical Association. The A.M.A. loaned its historical collection of documents and artifacts to the University of Melbourne's Medical History Museum in 1994 and gifted in 2011.

Item originally donated to the A.M.A. by Dr. Ross Anderson on 9 February 1973.
