Description
The object comprises articulated upper and lower plaster models fitted with cast splints for the upper and lower jaw. This is a teaching model, demonstrating the splints' use in the treatment of a fracture on the left side of the lower jaw. The upper splint covers the right upper central and lateral, upper last molar and wisdom tooth. The lower splint covers the left lower cuspid around to the right lower second premolar. The splints were fitted with tubes and locking screws to immobilise parts of the jaw which would be loose following the fracture, aiding in the fracture's healing.
