inscriptions ▫ "APPARATUS FOR PREPARING INFUSIONS/INVENTED BY P. SQUIRE,/CHEMIST ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE QUEEN/ 413 OXFORD STREET, LONDON./The ingredients are put into the porcelain colander, and boiling or cold/water is poured upon them; as the soluble matter is thus extracted,/the water charged with it, falls by its gravity to the bottom of the vessel,/thus the ingredients are constantly surrounded by a fresh/portion of the water, and a good infusion effected without/the trouble of stirring.
