Dental extracting key

Description
An early extracting key, simple in design, with a straight shank, a forged anvil and a single claw fixed by a rivet. The shank is possibly turned. The handle is made of wood, possibly English beech, and is held in place by a screw. The object has at some stage been used as a hammer.
