Locked wooden box with built in 'Sonic Surgical Diathermy'. Ebonite panel with controls, (power and spark gap control, leads and foot switch, main switch and porcelain socket). No S.55. Significant as an example of Professor Frank Wilkinson's research interests and level of electrical knowledge and its application to dentistry in the 1920-30s.
