Description
Two acrylic models of the first finger of the right hand of Henry Forman Atkinson. Acrylic dough, CLEAR, cast into Zelex impressions of the finger and processed under air pressure. The collection to which this item belongs was developed during research on the air pressure technique. The orange tinged model was made in standard pink Zelex alginate impression material after which the local agents of the Amalgamated Dental Company produced spinal batches of unpigmented material for research. A=Orange, B=Clear. Used from 1953 in Melbourne. Referenced in the publication 'In Defence of Ivory Towers' by Henry Forman Atkinson.
